The biggest thing we wanted her to work on with him was his leash skills in a distracting environment. Prince can now walk off leash, in a fast paced/high distraction area, no problem. It is very obvious that his manners around the house have improved tremendously, and he remains in command while back in his permanent environment. Katie knew how hard it was going to be for the entire family being away from him-but she sent very in depth and honest "report cards" each day! She also sent 10-15 pictures & videos, which helps a lot. Prince had a blast going on daily "field trips" to new areas to train. I had the best experience with placing my dog in the 2 week board and train program. My dedicated trainer, Katie, was absolutely phenomenal. I was terrified of leaving my dog with someone for 2 weeks, but soon realized that he was in the best hands possible. I received daily report cards that included pictures, videos of his progress, and details on his progression. I would also text her any questions I had, and she would respond super quickly, which was another peace of mind.

Katie took him in, and treated him as if he were her own, this was clear in the videos. When she got him, he was terrified of cars, reactive to people and other dogs, would NOT allow me to kennel him, and would resource guard everything. He didn't know a single command.

After just 2 weeks, I am now able to take him to stores off-leash, and he doesn't leave my side, or bark at people/dogs. He now knows many commands including come, sit, down, extended down, heel, load (both into the car kennel and his kennel at home), and off. I'm able to kennel him at night and while I'm at work with very minimal fuss.

I would 100% do it again with any of my dogs as I know the quality of work that she put into him, and the amazing results after just 2 weeks!

Katie is the absolute best, and I would recommend to all family and friends. I'm now thinking of putting my other 2 dogs through the program :)

Hi, I’m Katie, an experienced dog trainer with over 8 years working hands-on with dogs of all ages, breeds, and backgrounds. From my early days as a kennel attendant, foster dog mom, and dog walker in 2017 to becoming a full-time trainer in 2020, I’ve been dedicated to helping dogs and their families build happier, calmer lives together. I’m a proud pit bull advocate and love working with blocky-headed dogs of all kinds.

At home, I have two dogs of my own. Kahlua is my sweet 11-year-old Lab/Aussie mix who’s always up for car rides, sunny naps, or exploring a new trail. Austen, my brave three-year-old pit mix, has taught me so much about building confidence in fearful dogs. She loves air conditioning, french fries, and following Kahlua everywhere.
